About Project
A bird’s-eye view of the March for Women’s Lives in Washington DC, 2004 where filmmaker Patricia Mooney was one of very few people with a professional video camera and tripod, and the ability to be front and center on both stages. Featuring Whoopi Goldberg, Kathleen Turner, Holly Near, Cris Williamson, Kathy Najimy, Tyne Daly, Julianne Moore and over a million marchers at the largest U.S. march in Herstory.
Director Biography
Patricia Mooney became a feminist during high school when she studied the Women’s Liberation movement and repurposed the same paper for three different classes. She and her mother (aged 82) traveled to Washington DC together in 2004 where they participated in the March for Women’s Lives. Patty took a professional digital camera and tripod with her, moved to front and enter and captured these rare clips of passionate advocates for choice.
